Ms. Walters is so excited to be the Media Specialist here at Bonneville Academy! She was born in Ohio and moved every 2 years because she come from a military family. She has lived overseas and in the United States. Angeline has a love for traveling and history. She enjoys gardening, swimming, kayaking, and camping with her family. She has 5 kids and a wonderful husband. They moved to StansburyPark 9 years ago.

Ms. Walters went to Louisiana Tech and received an associates degree in Business Administration. She has been a Teachers Assistant for 3 years at Scholar Academy. She is also a para professional, public notary, and a tax advisor.

Ms. Walters want to show the students that there is a big world out there and they can go anywhere their imagination can take them thru reading. She loves the Dr. Seuss quote ” Oh, the places you will go”.

Shannon D’Anjou

Ms. D’Anjou grew up near Seattle, WA, where all of her family still lives. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Eastern Washington University. She has lived on both sides of Washington State, and loved the weather in Eastern Washington, which prompted her move. She moved to Utah in 2013 for the weather and has been in Tooele since 2014, after meeting her wonderful husband. They have been married since 2015 and have a dog. She has held various administrative positions over the past ten years. This is a new adventure that Ms. D’Anjou is excited to be on. With a mom and sister who teach, it seems natural that working in a school environment would be something she would do. She believes that children really are the future and wants to pour into them as much as she can. When she is not working, she spends her time outdoors, or at the church, where she serves in the children and youth ministries, or wherever else they need her.

Ms. Jensen has worked throughout various organizations in different administrative and customer service capacities for nearly 15 years. A big believer in doing whatever it takes to help our children succeed.

Ms. Jensen supports Charter school and STEM based schools. Ms. Jensen is no stranger to working at the front desk and working with children, having spent 5 years as a daycare owner and several years in customer support and administrative roles, which taught her the importance of patience, and hard work.

Ms. Jensen is married with four children, 3 of which will be attending Bonneville Academy this coming year and one at Stansbury High. Her sons, fifteen, twelve and nine, will be in ninth, seventh and fourth grade and her daughter is six and is very excited to start first grade. As a family, they love to cook, listen to and make music, read and spend time outdoors. Ms. Jensen’s varied background in Customer Service, Reception and Day Care provided the perfect foundation for Bonneville Academy’s Receptionist.

Ms. Jensen has been a founding member of our school since its inception and is looking forward to seeing the school grow. She is excited about Charter School and its possibilities with the STEM program. She is also excited to continue to help the growth of Bonneville Academy and is committed to building strong relationships with parents while assisting the students in having a positive educational experience.

Ms. Iverson has lived in Stansbury Park for 3 years, before that she moved all around the United States and abroad. She is currently attending the University of Phoenix and plans to finish her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, within the next year. She has worked in local schools for two years, but has always had a hand in education. Ms. Iverson previously studied photography and has always had a passion for art! She has 5 children and they love to explore nature, go boating, and watch movies together! She is excited to begin a new adventure with Bonneville Academy.

Ms. Rylant was born in Copperton, Utah and has been a resident of Stansbury for 13 years. She is so excited to be part of Bonneville Academy! Ms. Rylant has two boys, one is 18 and a soldier with the Utah Army National Guard and the other is 14 and an avid hockey player.  When Ms. Rylant isn’t  at school, she raises puppies to be service dogs for an organization in California called Canine Companions for Independence.  She loves hanging out with her puppies at hockey games! She also loves to read, watch documentaries, crochet  and draw. She loves meeting new people, especially kids. Learning new things from students is always an exciting adventure.

Ms. Miller was born and raised in Magna UT. She moved to Stansbury Park in April 2011. She has a wonderful husband and two kids. Her son will be in fifth grade this year and her daughter will be in second. She has worked at Soelbergs in Stansbury for the last three years. She loves to sew and quilt.She also has helped out at her kids school whenever she can. She also volunteers at the Dental clinic at the Tooele Health Department as a dental assistant.

Ms. Hardy is thrilled to be a fifth grade teacher’s assistant at Bonneville Academy! As a parent of six children, she has over fifteen years of experience volunteering in classrooms.She loves seeing the excitement in a child’s face when they accomplish goals and learn new things. The social and emotional
development of each child is very dear to her heart. She believes every child should be valued and treated with respect.Ms. Hardy grew up in Mesquite, Nevada but has lived all around the United States. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors gardening and hiking. She loves to travel, read and cook. She feels very fortunate to be a part of such a great school and is looking forward to a great year at Bonneville!

Mrs. Elder loves music. She has taught voice and piano lessons in Oregon and Utah. While pursuing her degree, Mrs. Elder had three years of collegiate private vocal lessons. She has performed leading roles in various musicals including Rick’s College’s performance of Michael McLean’s “The Ark”. Mrs. Elder has performed in many classical, pop and opera recitals, several orchestra’s and choirs. She has played various instruments including the violin, piano, flute, piccolo, and bassoon.Throughout her education, she has performed in symphonies, concert bands, marching bands, choirs, musical theater groups, musicals and an opera. She loves the saying, “Music is the window to our souls”.

Ms. Tanner was born in Portland, Oregon and moved to Utah when she was 5. She and her husband moved to
Stansbury in 2003 and love the area and the community. They have 4 kids, 3 boys and 1 girl ages 4, 6, 10, and 11. She attended Salt Lake Community college of Cosmetology and received her Cosmetology and Barbering degree in 1997. She has served and currently serves on the PTA board of Rose Springs Elementary as the VP of Education for the past two years. She also does home daycare and has done that off and on for the past 7 years. She loves spending time with her family. They all love swimming and always look forward to their annual family vacation to Bear Lake. She also stays pretty busy with kid’s activities in soccer and dance. She is looking forward to making new friends and sharing new adventures with the Bonneville Academy team.

Mrs. Scott (Miss Martha) is excited to be working at Bonneville. She grew up in Pennsylvania, Alabama, and Oregon. She attended Western Oregon University where she majored in elementary education and minored in music. She played the clarinet and bass clarinet from 5th grade through college. She has been singing since she could talk. Miss Martha has always enjoyed the arts and creating. As a girl, she made her own doll clothes, painted pictures, and made crafts. She can usually look at a craft project and make it without directions.

She met and married her husband, Phil, who was in the Coast guard. Together they lived in 13 different places. She is the mother of 7 children, one of whom is a kindergarten teacher here at Bonneville. She has a child who has severe learning differences. Miss Martha prefers the term learning differences since most children with learning differences are teachable and are, quite often, quite intelligent. They just learn differently. Her child who has learning differences is a college graduate.

Miss Martha likes to cook and bake, she is famous for her cupcakes. She likes to take a recipe and adjust it a little to make it her own. She enjoys interior design.

Mrs. Scott is excited to be art specialist teaching the K-2 art program.

Ms. Searle is excited to be beginning an adventure with you at Bonneville Academy! She loves working in the lunch room! In fact, it’s her 10th year working in a cafeteria!! She and her husband recently moved to Tooele from Wisconsin. They have 5 children, 7 grandchildren and two dogs named Boo and Snickers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with the grandbabies and being outdoors playing games and cooking dinners on the campfire.

Ms. Ayres grew up in Salt Lake City Utah, after graduating from Brighton High School She attended cosmetology school and became a licensed hair stylist & aesthetician. She served a full time LDS mission and upon returning home met and married her husband Russ. They have been married for 14 years and have 4 awesome kids.She loves spending time with her family, they spend most of the summer at the lake paddle boarding, having picnics and eating snow cones, and their favorite way to spend a weekend is wrapped up in a blanket, watching a movie together.

Ms. Ayres enjoys cooking and likes to try out new recipes but knows that it’s always a good day when there are chocolate chip cookies around! She is excited to join the Bonneville team and hopes to bring her chocolate chip cookies to the lunch room!
