Every parent and teacher is strongly encouraged to be part of our COMPASS (formerly known as PTO, Parent Teacher Organization) meetings. Enjoy light refreshments while you get updated on all the fun things COMPASS is doing with our school to enhance our students’ educational experience. We welcome new ideas, best practices, and, of course, volunteers. Meetings are the first Wednesday of every month, alternating between morning and evening to be able to accommodate a wider variety of parent schedules. Meet other parents and eat delicious treats.
Schedule of meetings for the upcoming year:
Wednesday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m.
10:30 a.m. meetings will be held in the school library and 7:30 p.m. meetings will be held in the Bonneville Academy main hallway.
We want all parents to help make this inaugural year awesome!

  • Calling all dads or adult male volunteer! The Moms, Misses, and Muffins committee would like the opportunity to eat muffins with their students, and, as such, would love for some dads or other adult role models to step up to serve at the event on Thursday, March 8. Moms and Misses are still welcome to signup to serve and volunteer, but we want to be able to give those Moms and Misses the opportunity to read and eat with their own child. Anyone interested in volunteering for a small shift can sign up here: Moms and Muffins Volunteer Signups.
  • The Talent Show Committee is a brand-new COMPASS committee to organize our school talent show the last week of school and is in need of a committee chair and members to plan this fun event. Please email [email protected]org if you would like to chair this committee or be a talent show committee member.

Dine-in, Carry-Out, or Delivery, just make sure you present the Bonneville Academy/Hometown Pizza half-page flier that will go home with your students on Friday, March 2nd. (Or print one by clicking HERE.)

Moms, Misses, Grandmas, Older Sisters, or whoever that special adult is, please join us for our first ever Moms (or Misses) and Muffins Event at Bonneville Academy. On Thursday, March 8, early-start kids can arrive at 7:15 a.m. and late-start kids can arrive at 8:30 a.m. with their special adult for muffins and juice, milk, or water. A photo booth will be available for photo opportunities for a small fee to capture this memorable moment. Bring a book to read with your Mom or other miss while you eat breakfast. To accommodate adult schedules, if you have a late-start kid, but need to attend the early-start time at 7:15 a.m., please note that you are allowed to do so, but your child needs to be taken home at 7:55 a.m. and brought back to school for their usual late-start time, so they don’t disrupt classes already in session. The event concludes at 7:50 a.m. for early-start and 9:05 a.m. for late-start to allow kids to get to class on-time.

Mrs. Christensen’s class has won the Box Tops mid-year Pizza Party by turning in a whopping 503 Box Tops so far! Great news: you can send in your Coca Cola product bottle caps with codes on them from 20 oz, 1 L, or 2 L bottles or the code from the cardboard of Coca Cola 12-packs with your box tops and they will be counted towards the Box Tops class competition and earn money for our school. Remember to send in codes from Coke, Sprite, Powerade, Minute Maid, Fanta, and any other coke products as they are worth almost as much as a box top and often more than a box top.

Ongoing Opportunities to Get Money Donated to the School by Doing Things you Already Do

Start clipping those Box Tops! Collection bags that magnetically adhere to your fridge were sent home. Extra bags are in the office in the orange box tops box if you didn’t get one. Turn in box tops in the classroom collection box with student name and teacher’s name and grade on the back for our class collection competition. Leading class as of 10/18/17 gets a prize. Winning class as of December 15 gets spoiled with surprises and a class party.

A new simple way to submit! Don’t forget to install the Box Tops Bonus App on your cell phone. It helps you earn Bonus Box Tops (on top of the clipped box tops) by scanning and submitting your grocery store receipt from your phone. Our Box Tops Committee Chair, one person, earned $12 for our school in just one month from the Bonus App Receipts.

**If each family earned $5 on the Box Tops Bonus App just by scanning their receipts from their cell phone, then the school will have raised over $3,000, and that’s just for buying items you might already be purchasing.**

Our school goal is $2,000 in Box Tops this year to help fund field trips, school dances, assemblies, STEM fair, and so much more. Updates will be posted regularly.
