Commitment Form

We are so excited for our first ever 8th grade trip. This trip has been designed to help give our students real world STEM experiences. We will be traveling to northern California at the end of April and will be learning and having fun. In order for your student to participate you will need to return the attached form with a $50 deposit by September 29th. The total cost of the trip will be $600 per student and each family will be obligated to pay this amount. This cost will include transportation, hotel (includes breakfast), entrance fees, and dinner. Students will be required to pay for lunches and have spending money with them.  We will be working with the PTO to organize some fundraisers but we are unsure how much money will be raised to go towards the cost of the trip. We encourage families to work with their students to find opportunities at home and in your community to work to raise the money to cover the costs. If you are unable to pay this cost please talk to Mr. Nix and we can work out a plan. We will also be looking for chaperones so if you would be interested please indicate on the travel form. Chaperones will be required to pay their own way as we don’t have the funds this first year to pay for their costs.

Students will be required and expected to be responsible and obey all school rules and listen to the chaperones while we are gone. This trip is open to all 8th grade students but is not required. We will have fun activities and local excursions for students that decide not to attend this trip.
