
Mrs. Chandler was raised in Layton, Utah, but currently resides in North Salt Lake with her husband, baby boy, cat, and dog. She loves Disney, Harry Potter, and is a big fan of the dancing violinist, Lindsey Stirling.
She is very excited to begin my first year at Bonneville Academy! She has taught Kindergarten for seven years and is excited for all the fun things her kindergarteners will be learning and achieving this year!
As a teacher, Mrs. Chandler loves reading stories to her class. She loves to see the joy on their faces when they learn something new! She is excited to meet all of my students this year. Go Mariners!
Mrs. Welch has been with Bonneville Academy for two years. She has loved getting to know parents, students, teachers, and co-workers. She is excited to take on a new role as an Administrative Assistant and working closely with Ms. Marden and Mr. Nix.
Mrs. Welch has worked as a former 911 police and Fire Dispatcher. She also has experience in Medical Reception, Medical MA, and Administrative Assistant.
Mrs. Welch was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and made the move to Utah several years ago and loves living here. She has 3 amazing kids that keep her busy when not at work. They love living here in Stansbury Park. Mrs. Welch and her family love to travel and have been blessed to have been able to visit so many wonderful places. Her favorite travels have been to London, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland. She has also been so lucky to have traveled to 45 of the 50 states in the U.S. She loves to travel and go camping. Her favorite thing to do is to sew and make costumes for the high school plays.
Mrs. Angus loves teaching second grade and is excited for another year at Bonneville Academy! This will be her third year teaching second grade. She has two daughters one in fifth and one-second grade that loves coming to school with her! Mrs. Angus can be found outdoors hiking, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, and fishing with her family and friends. She has two dogs that love to go on adventures. She has an old cat too that prefers to stay home. She was raised in South Jordan, Utah, and moved to Oklahoma with her husband where they lived for eight years going to Oklahoma Sooners football games and raising a family. After moving back to Utah, Mrs. Angus was introduced to teaching in a paraprofessional role and instantly fell in love with the student connections and knew that this is what she was supposed to do. She graduated in 2014 in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and is in the APT (Academic Pathway to Teaching) program. I look forward to empowering my students to be curious, try new things and be excited to learn!
Mrs. Rydalch joined the Bonneville family during our first year as a paraprofessional. She loved helping the students learn and decided to go get her teaching degree, which we are so grateful for. The first year teaching she was in kindergarten and is excited to be joining the 1st grade team this year. Her favorite subject to teach is reading and science. When Mrs. Rydalch isn’t at school she loves to spend time with her husband and 3 children. You can find her in the kitchen cooking, out on the lake boating, and on the mountains in the RZR.
Mrs. Schiffman is super excited to be teaching 3rd grade! She’s been married for 7 years and has two crazy boys. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana. She loves to read, crochet, and watch movies. Her favorite book series is Harry Potter. Her favorite candy is almond joy and she loves the color purple. She wants everyone to grow to love learning. Let’s have a great year!
Mrs. Ence is so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Bonneville Academy this year! She has spent the last 7 years in education in various roles, and teaching is by far her favorite. She’s been married to her husband for 18 years and they have 3 sons. They moved to Stansbury a month before their oldest was born 16 years ago and love living here. She and her family love to explore the many national parks Utah has to offer, and are always up for a fun adventure! She is currently attending WGU and will graduate this year with a Bachelor of Education Studies. Mrs. Ence loves her family and two dogs more than anything, but she also loves all things Harry Potter, tap dancing, hiking, biking, and binge-watching anything true crime or rom-com. She loves the color purple, chocolate and peanut butter anything, and popcorn. She feels that every student is a leader and can make an impact in their world, and wants to help her students see that in themselves.
Ms. Nelson grew up in Oklahoma before moving to Idaho and then settling in Utah. She has lived here for over 30 years and feels like a native Utahan. She grew up in Magna (Go Pirates) and after High School attended the University of Utah where she received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she spent three years teaching fifth grade, four years in second grade, and now has finally graduated to third grade! She is looking forward to helping her students become critical thinkers and problem solvers as they prepare for third grade and for the future. When she is not teaching or planning for her classroom you could find her playing with her own four children (ages 21, 17, 12, and 6), reading a good book on her kindle (or 2 or 3), or just enjoying being outdoors.
Mrs. Lurker was born and raised in southern California. She graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho in December of 2019. In college she worked as a paraprofessional in a special needs classroom where she developed a passion for teaching. She is eager to meet her students and watch them grow over the course of this school year.
Outside of school she loves to spend her time in the sun. She enjoys boating, swimming, fishing, and hiking if the hike isn’t too long.
Mrs. Wilhelmsen is starting her second year of teaching at Bonneville Academy during the 2021-2022 school year. Prior to this, she taught a 4th/5th split grade classroom in Granite School District, and she has a background in nonprofit management and a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She is completing her Master’s Degree at Western Governors University in Elementary Education and is active in the lives of her two teenage kids – Taryn, who spends almost every ounce of spare time playing soccer, and Mark, who prefers the indoors playing video games, mining bitcoin, and building computers. She has been married for 15 years to her husband Mark, and, while they love to travel as a family, they are always glad to come back home to their beloved dog, Cash, the most spoiled member of the household, their two cats, and chickens. DeLayna enjoys running, averaging two 5k runs a week, reading, and loves to give back to the community by sitting on the board for the Stansbury Library and helping it grow and provide library services for residents of Stansbury.
Mrs. Booth has been a fifth-grade teacher since Bonneville Academy opened. She has loved being a fifth-grade teacher. Mrs. Booth loves being an aunt to her peeps. She was married in 2019 to her husband Chandler. She has two dogs, one named Ranger and the other’s name is Scout. She loves spending time in the mountains. Cooking is one of her favorite things to do. Her favorite food is tacos. One of her goals is to go to all 50 states at least once. She is able to cross off 16 states. She loves traveling to new and exciting places. She is looking forward to the 2021/2022 school year.
Mrs. Christensen is very excited to be part of the Bonneville Academy team! She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement. She has taught for 6 years in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Mrs. Christensen has a passion for teaching math and science and enriching lessons through hands-on activities. She has had a broad array of experience in student technological integrations, tiered learning, and positive behavior interventions. She is excited to be an instructional coach this year and work with the teachers at the school. Mrs. Christensen has been married for 7 years and has two boys. She enjoys longboarding, paddle boarding, archery, and watching movies. She has two Australian Shepherds who keep her busy and active.
Ms. Cerroni is a native of Tooele County. This will be her seventh year teaching and she looks forward to the journey. She has her Bachelors in Science for Elementary Education with an emphasis in Science and Mathematics from Utah State University. She is a highly qualified teacher.
In Ms. Cerroni’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cuddling her llamas, being in the mountains, and even Spartan races.
She wants to provide students with the tools to be successful in becoming fully aware of their significance to the world. Ms. Cerroni is highly motivated to reach goals and to have a bigger impact on the future.
Mr. Morán’s native country is El Salvador, which is part of Central America. He studied there for two years of university before moving to California. Some of my hobbies are cooking, robotics, bowling, and technology. During his free time, he likes to hang out with his friends and family. Before he became a teacher, he was a senior college student looking for a rewarding and enjoyable career. During his last year of undergrad school, he taught an after-school computer science class once a week at an elementary and enjoyed it so much. Since then his goal has been to teach computer science and technology in the most dynamic, unique, and fun way.
Ms. Michelle started at the heart of the school–as a parent. She wanted the best for her son: a school where he could thrive and be inspired. Continuing in her roots from a family-owned restaurant, she worked at home as The Barefoot Baker, specializing in French pastries and everything sweet! She also volunteered at Bonneville, helping the teachers in any way she could–including stuffing them full of madeleines, breads, cupcakes, and anything else on their “favorites” list. If they liked it, she made it!
Then, in 2020, she set aside her home business as both a baker and a licensed nail tech and took a job as the second grade specialist. She fell in love with the world of STEM and loved seeing the students’ faces light up as they did experiments together. She is excited to combine her two passions, food and STEM as she is now acting as both our Food Science teacher and Elementary STEM specialist.
Mr. Evans has a B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Los Angeles, and a B.S. in Social Sciences from Southern Utah University. He was awarded a U.S. patent for his development of a neuromuscular coordination strengthening device. His teaching specialties include U.S. History, Global Politics, and World Civilization.
As an inventor and entrepreneur, Mr. Evans learned firsthand about the education and skills required to be successful in an increasingly automated and changing economy. He began to substitute teaching in order to share his experiences and to help his students understand the importance of maximizing their individual talents and reaching their full potential. During his time as a substitute, Mr. Evans gained a real passion for education and decided to teach full-time. He brings enthusiasm, real-world experience, and entrepreneurial spirit to the classroom. “I see social studies as the perfect vehicle for developing the critical thinking skillset our students will need to be prosperous throughout their lives.”
Mr. Evans and his family enjoy spending time together hiking, camping, and fly-fishing.
Ms. Batchelor graduated from Brigham Young University in 2015 with a degree in Biological Science Education. She has spent the last two years living and teaching in Gallup, NM. She has been teaching 7th-grade science and running a STEM-based club known as MESA. She loves teaching and loves science. Growing up she moved around a lot but always loved to get outdoors, explore, and figure out how the world works–which is why she fell in love with science, especially biology. Currently, she enjoys riding her dirt bike and hiking. Ms. Batchelor is excited to bring her love of education and science to Bonneville Academy.
Mrs. Gladden grew up in the Tooele Valley. She graduated from Tooele High School in 2000. She graduated college with her bachelor’s in education and psychology. When she is not teaching, she loves spending time with her family, camping, being outdoors, or with animals.
Ms. Reed was born in Mesa, Arizona, and raised in Cache Valley Utah. She has always had a love for reading and telling stories which developed into a rather large collection of books. When she was young, she frequently explored the outdoors with her siblings while pretending to be knights or cowboys. She graduated from Utah State University in English and History teaching and taught middle school in Glendale Arizona for two years. She is excited to be back in Utah and teaching at Bonneville Academy. When she’s not teaching, she’s either reading, writing, or visiting family.
Ms. Sharp graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018 with a degree in English Literature. Originally from the land of potatoes, Rexburg, Idaho, Ms. Sharp moved to Utah when she was 12 years old. She attributes her love of reading to her mother and father as they are both avid readers as well. Ms. Sharp has been married for two years and is expecting her first baby this school year. When she isn’t teaching, you can find her spending time with her family, reading books, playing with her three cats: Monster, Meeshka, and Chubby Kitty, or planning her next trip to Disneyland. “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island.” -Walt Disney
Mr. Corley was born and raised in Southern California, where he spent much of his time on the beach. He has traveled extensively throughout the Southern and Western United States. He holds degrees in psychology and business and enjoys studying philosophy, religion, and politics. Before beginning his teaching career, he spent several years running restaurants in Utah and Wyoming. He has also worked as a postman, a newspaper reporter, and a business analyst for a tribal casino. In his spare time he enjoys backpacking, reading, writing novels, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. Mr. Corley lives in Tooele with his wife and their three children.
Ms. Vorwaller has been working with children for almost 20 years. Her love for child care started in high school, where she focused her electives on early childhood development. That was where she had her first opportunity to teach preschool. Since then she has worked as a daycare provider, kindergarten instructor, and run her own in-home preschool. She has continued her higher education off and on. Currently, she is studying for an associate’s degree in psychology, at Salt Lake Community College. She will then transfer to the University of Utah to continue towards her teaching certificate. She would like to work as a teacher as she continues school for her master’s degree to become an educational psychologist. She is really excited about working in the Special Ed department at Bonneville Academy while continuing her own schooling! She is looking forward to working with your amazing kids!
Mrs. Einerson has been a Special Education teacher for a few years. She finds joy in helping the students who struggle in school. She has a Masters of Education in Special Education with an emphasis on Severe and Profound Disabilities. When she is not teaching you can find her with her husband and three children, learning how to be an Equestrian, caring for her many animals, camping, fishing, or seeing my favorite music artists live. She tries to encourage her students to live life to the fullest.
Amanda Woolery was born and raised in Downey Idaho. She and her family moved to Utah in 2017. She also started working at Bonneville Academy in 2017. She and her husband Chris have been married for 18 years and together they have 4 children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and friends, and enjoying the outdoors.
Ms. Bailey is from Stansbury Park, Utah. She is in her 3rd year of college, it being her first year in the Elementary Education program. She is studying to be a teacher at the Tooele USU campus. She has known what she wanted to do since 2nd grade – she loves working with kids. She also loves to sing, dance, and act.
Ms. Vincent was born and raised in Salt Lake City; and lived in Mexico, England, and Alaska before starting her family. She has been a resident of Stansbury Park for the past three years and absolutely loves it here!
She studied History and Language Arts at Utah State University. She has two wonderful children, Eden and Emmett, and a cranky grey tabby named Minerva McGonagall. After her family, Disneyland and chocolate are her favorite things. In her spare time, Ms. Vincent enjoys crafting, reading, and planning parties. She loves working with children and is excited to be at Bonneville Academy this year!
Mrs. Van Cott was born and raised in Orem, Utah. The elementary school she attended was also named Bonneville, so when Bonneville Academy opened, it immediately had a place in her heart. She bounced back and forth between her local schools & the schools in the city her mother taught, American Fork, graduating at American Fork High School. She met her future husband at age 15 while on vacation in Arizona, and they were married 5 years later after old school correspondence through “snail mail”. She worked as office manager in the first apartment complexes then dental offices until the arrival of the first of their 5 children. She stopped her education after her two-year degree and plans to go back for more.
When Bonneville opened she returned to the workforce from being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years to work as a substitute teacher and has since grown into teaching middle school elective classes and being the librarian. She loves that because of subbing and being the middle school dance chair for the first 3 years she was able to really get to know many of Bonneville’s students. Mrs. Van Cott loves reading, getting outside, swimming, hiking, the family’s ‘puppy, Phoebe & living close to Lake Point, Utah. She enjoys learning and creating alongside her students.
Mrs. Tomich was born in Seattle WA and lived there for 7yrs. Due to her father’s job with Boeing, numerous relocations and 13 different schools were to follow. The majority of growing up was spent in Montana so if asked where she’s from, she will say “I’m from Montana”. Working and living in different places must be in her blood as she did both while working on an oil exploration seismic crew. It was there that she met her husband, Gary. He is a Holladay UT native so they decided to make Cottonwood Heights their home. After 9 yrs and a newborn son, Steven, they moved to their home in Grantsville where they have now lived for the past 19 yrs. Two mini dachshunds, Elly & Wally, have joined the family and have taken it upon themselves to pretty much rule the roost! She enjoys rockhounding, gardening, crafting, traveling, camping and her compass always seems to lead her to antique and thrift stores!
She is one of the “originals” as she has been at Bonneville Academy since the doors first opened.

Lindsey Tanner is excited to be back at Bonneville Academy. She loves working with the Middle School students and finds so much joy in watching them learn and grow each year. She loves getting to know each student and her number one goal is to make sure each child she works with finds their own personal strengths and becomes the best
they can be.
Lindsey attended Salt Lake Community College of Cosmetology and received her degree in Cosmetology and Barbering in 1997. She and her husband have been married for 16 years and have lived in Stansbury Park since 2003. They have 4 children, 3 boys, and one girl. Her 4 children attend Bonneville Academy.
Lindsey has several years of experience through volunteering at their local elementary school as well as serving on the PTA board as VP of education for 2 years. Lindsey ran a daycare in her home for 7 years where she cared for a variety of children aged 3 months to 12 years.
In her free time, Lindsey’s most favorite thing to do is read, she loves all types of books and will often get lost in one for hours. She also enjoys baking, swimming, and spending time with her family. Most weekends, when the weather is warm enough, you will find her with her family at the pool. She also spends many hours at the soccer fields watching her children play soccer. She is looking forward to sharing new adventures and experiences with the Bonneville Team.
Juliette earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in Ethnic Studies. Her professional career in Administration and Human Resource began over 10 years ago. Juliette has a magnetic presence in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and energy to encourage others to work tirelessly towards success. Juliette is inspired daily by her husband and their two children. In her free time, Juliette likes to read, travel, and spend time with her family.
Miss JaLyn has two degrees in education from Utah State University and has been with Bonneville Academy for 5 years. She enjoys working with students of all ages and all abilities.Miss JaLyn believes in building the self-confidence of her students through praise. She is happily married and has three children. In her spare time she enjoys knitting, crocheting, quilting, board games, and reading.
